It's no secret that Colorado offers a variety of entertainment opportunities for the whole family. From indoor to outdoor fun, there is something everyone will enjoy!

If you're on the fence about where to plan your next vacation, here are a few things to consider.

Kid-Friendly Activities

Colorado is filled with family-friendly attractions! Estes Park, where you can find Mustang Mountain Coaster, is the perfect place to bring kids of all ages.

After visiting the mountain coaster, explore wildlife and set up a camping spot in Rocky Mountain National Park. Kids will enjoy being outdoors, away from electronics and seeing all of the flora and fauna that Colorado has to offer.

Adult Fun

When you're looking for a kid-free getaway, Estes Park is a great option! Consider booking a guided tour of the area that may not be possible to experience with a little one in tow.

Colorado is also the perfect place to explore new foods and drinks. The Centennial State is home to over 200 breweries, over 100 wineries—and there are new restaurants opening all of the time. It is the ideal spot to sit, relax and enjoy amazing food in peace.

The Scenery

Colorado is well known for its scenic beauty. You just can't beat the national parks, natural rock formations and wildlife!

A quick internet search will bring up numerous scenic opportunities in Colorado and Estes Park. After completing a hiking tour, consider visiting a hot spring or a local attraction. You won't leave without seeing something beautiful, whether you explore it up close or from afar.

There's Something for Every Season

Colorado is one of those great places that offer both warm and cold weather fun. That means you can visit Estes Park at any time of the year and have an equal amount of fun!

Colorado’s Front Range is truly an area unlike any other. From towering mountains to unique and historical towns, there is no shortage of things to see.

The Front Range Corridor covers Colorado’s largest cities, including Denver, Boulder, and Colorado Springs, as well as its most stand-out scenery. If you are hoping to plan a trip soon, you are in luck—we have all the knowledge you need to get the best itinerary together for your group!

One of the first things to decide when thinking of going on a trip to Colorado is when to visit. While we truly believe that there is no bad season on Colorado’s Front Range, depending on what activities you would like to do, there may be times that suit your fancy more than others.

Below, we will go through what every season on the front range is like so you can decide when the best time is for you to visit!

When to Visit Colorado’s Front Range

For skiing, sledding, and winter scenery: November through March. Ski season can be somewhat unpredictable, but Colorado is fortunate to get its fair share of snow each year, which gives it one of the longest ski seasons in the country. If you for sure want to hit the slopes, try to plan your trip for some time between late November and the middle of March to be safe. Many resorts will end up staying open through April but trying to come before the end of March is typically a safer bet.

For hiking, mountaineering, and general exploration: April through October. Colorado boasts ample amounts of sunshine each year, so chances are, you will get gorgeous weather if you come any time in April through October. If you plan to visit Rocky Mountain National Park to hike, climb or generally explore, coming during these months is a great way to soak up the sun and the scenery that the Front Range has to offer.

For general sightseeing and exploring the towns: Any month. There truly is not a bad time to visit the Front Range, especially if you want to do some general sightseeing that is not so weather dependent. Many of our local attractions (like the Mountain Coaster) are open year-round, so no matter when you plan your trip, you are guaranteed to have a fantastic experience!
